EVERY VOTE, EVERY VOICE, EVERY TIME!
Millions of voters went to the polls in Florida and Michigan, and they cast their ballots for the first woman, or African American, major party Presidential candidate in our nation's history.
The Democratic National Committee decided that, since they didn't approve of when these states held their primaries, these votes simply wouldn't count.
When this primary battle proved too close to call, many called for a revote. This way both candidates could take the time to visit and campaign in these states. The Clinton campaign led this charge, but the Barack Obama campaign said no. Howard Dean (Chairman, DNC) failed to lead in this endeavor and a revote never occured.
Here is the simple fact. 2.5 Million people voted. Absent a revote, their votes must be counted. We cannot tarnish this historic election by disenfranchising millions of Americans. The DNC should be ashamed, and their rules committee must stand up and count every vote cast. If the DNC fails to fully count every vote, they will lose the confidence of millions of Democrats.
